Telephone will be intense throughout the penthouse. First, there will be the incoming call line for the intercom system. When someone selects the number for my Penthouse, a particular WP810 will ring. In on itself, I can’t make calls through this line, and the only incoming calls will be the intercom. This will keep thing simple and allow for growth beyond that. In the same phone as the WP810, there will be a penthouse line. This line will ring when someone calls the particular penthouse phone number. This will require that I acquire a SIP? line just like any other tenant. The only difference is I am familiar with the web interface, and allowed to log into my WP810 since this phone belongs to the realty, and the realty belongs to me.
The guest wing will have a WP810 located in the office. This phone will not ring when someone selects my apartment number in the public foyer. This phone will have a single telephone number that the guest can use. If the guest was to have a SIP line, they can add that to the second line. This will mean they can receive SIP calls from their account, but will only be able to call out with the line that is provided to them while staying in the guest wing. When they leave, Line 2 will be cleared.
Each foster child will have a SIP line. They will get that through their smartphone. If they live with me, the smart phone will have a SIP client installed. The SIP client will require wifi? to connect. However, they will have a SIP line nonetheless. The child will receive the phone for free, but will be responsible for any cellular phone service they should want (assuming mature enough). When they leave my custody, the number will be terminated, and a new number generated. The password will also be changed which means they will no longer have access to this line.
For the main bedroom, there will be 2 WP825s. One will be for me, and the other will be for my fictional significant other. For my WP825, it will host my current 412 number which will port to the SIP provider since I will be getting a new cellular number as described in my Ideal Phone Setup. This will allow me to separate home phone from cellular phone. The fax/voicemail is all handled by the penthouse’s telephony server, and will email me any faxes. For me to send a fax, I will use the efax solution.
